They say the best years of our lives are in our twenties and thirties, yet what we have found at the The Holistic Health Project is that there is an enormous number of young adults reaching their quarter life stage and feeling anxious, confused, frustrated, lost, depressed and unworthy, on all levels of self, be it, mental, physical, emotional or spiritual.
The Quarter Life Health Project (QLHP) is a ‘re-schooling’ of the things school didn’t teach us! Think of it as a space to un-learn and re-learn, and an opportunity to nurture and explore all aspects of you, so you can begin to really live your truth!

We’re going to provoke you to think beyond the set of limiting beliefs that may be holding you back…
Because most of what we have learned through school, the media, upbringing and society has massively influenced how we understand and live out our every day lives, from the foods we put inside our bodies, our consumer choices, our ideas of success and happiness, the bodies we strive for, the jobs we keep and the relationships we pursue. Most of us are living life fast asleep and following the herd, because we think we should be doing it this way, rather than doing it in our own way! But it’s our basic human right to live our truth and a healthy life full of real purpose and happiness.
WHERE DO WE START AND HOW DO WE GET THERE?
We start by beginning to get to know our real, authentic selves better, by forgiving our pasts, healing our wounds, and nourishing and nurturing every aspect of us (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual). We all enter this journey differently, and although it can be a difficult process, it’s important to not give up – we’re here to facilitate you along the way!
We’ll combine the focus of each retreat on primarily the things we believe to be the bare bones of leading a healthy lifestyle, such as our diets (debunking myths and misconceptions), yoga and meditation, hoping to leave you with practical skills you can implement back at home. We will also go beyond just the physical elements, and deliver workshops designed to make you think more critically about yourself and how to best deal with emotional baggage and spiritual blockages. It won’t be airy-fairy, unobtainable stuff. Expect to be challenged, to cry, laugh, and get uncomfortable before you get comfortable, all in the pursuit to discover, learn and grow!
WE AIM TO DELIVER WORKSHOPS BASED ON RELATABLE ISSUES IN YOUR LIFE
You may be getting over a break-up, living with a lack of purpose, experiencing daddy issues, burnt out and stressed, insecure about your body image, or just in need of a change of scenery and a new experience – whatever your story, we’ll cover themes and topics that we feel don’t get talked about enough in our society, and are generally ignored or overlooked. Ultimately everything we teach (not preach), is to get you to a place where you better understand yourself, learn to love yourself and evolve into the very best version of you!
WHAT YOU CAN TAKE HOME:
Questions answered: There is an overwhelming wealth of information out there telling you how to eat, get fit, look and live. A retreat is not that magical pill with every single answer, but it is sure to be a safe haven to explore some unanswered questions and alleviate some confusion on this contested subject that is diet, health & lifestyle. It is our imperative to clear out the clutter and make way for new and transformative insight.
Self-growth: Making the decision to be proactive about your health is also taking a step towards a better self. No challenge is met without increased awareness and growth, whatever the outcome!
Relaxation = perspective: Between the noise of our day-to-day lives it feels impossible to create time to focus on getting healthy. This retreat is specifically allocated time you have decided to take out, where you will relax and take some deep breaths, while you explore and learn about something you’re clearly interested to know more about!
Affirmation: You will meet people and go “wow, you have that too?” You’ll share and connect to like-minded people from all walks of life and find comfort in the fact that you’re not on your own.
Knowledge & Skills: Our main incentive is to send you home with a set of skills and knowledge that you can physically implement into your daily lives because this is where the real change will come about.
Self–empowerment: By nurturing parts of you that may have been neglected for a long time, you will feel more empowered and in control of navigating your life in the direction you wish to continue to take it.
Self-confidence: Feeling empowered and in control of your health will naturally bring about a confidence you never knew you had! After-all, true confidence is worn on the inside, not on the outside.
Closer to your truth: Your truth is your personal path, your intuition, your gut and your real ticket to a life full of purpose, good health and happiness. We hope to inspire you to tune in and listen to your inner truth.
This is what I was presented before I went on the retreat – I didn’t really know what to fully expect – perhaps a yoga holiday, where I could meditate and just take a little extra time for myself, maybe make a few friends along the way. What I didn’t expect was to have a life changing experience.
