Now I know this is a contentious subject and by no means do I advocate taking supplements and expecting them to create miracles. They do  exactly what they say on the tin. They should be used to supplement an already healthy and balanced diet. First and foremost you must make sure your nutrition is on point and you are getting nutrient dense foods into your diet. There are so many protein powders on the market these days and I’d advise using a trusted brand. You can get so many options these days in terms of flavour and depending on your dietary requirements (Vegan, lactose free, gluten free). I personally love MyProtein whey protein with 21 grams of protein and 1 gram of carbs per serving. if you’re struggling to hit your goal of 1.5-2 grams of protein per kilo of bodyweight then a protein powder is a great way of topping your protein up without consuming a large amount of calories.
