If you have found yourself losing confidence and self-esteem lately then know you are not alone. A new hairdo can really do wonders for your self-esteem and confidence. You may feel like your hair is what makes you, there are lots of people out there who think this. If this is the case and it requires some TLC then make an appointment with your local hairdresser. They will be able to fix your hair and make you see yourself in a brand new light. You can change it up a little if you feel like it, the world is your oyster when it comes to your hair. You may want a completely new style, length, or even colour. 

 

Hit The Shops

 

Another thing that can boost your mood is a shopping trip. You might wake up each morning and think ‘oh nothing looks nice anymore’. If so, think about making some new additions to your wardrobe. If you are unsure of what to buy for yourself then you could take advantage of a personal shopping service in-store. They will help you choose clothes that not only suit your body but your personality as well. 

 

Diet & Exercise

 

If you are getting older then you may be starting to develop the dreaded middle-age spread around your tummy area. This can have a serious impact on the way you view yourself. Unfortunately, as you age your metabolism slows down so you don’t need to eat as much as you once did. If you feel your confidence stems from your diet then there are simple changes you can make to feel better. 

 

Focus on what you are putting on your plate, if you feel like you need assistance with this then you can seek advice and guidance from your local nutritionist. You should be enjoying a healthy balanced diet with each of the food groups. These include carbohydrates, fats, proteins, dairy, fruits, and vegetables. 

 

As well as enjoying a healthy balanced diet, try and incorporate some form of exercise into your daily routine. You should be aiming for at least 45 minutes of exercise each day. This can be anything, as long as you are getting your heart rate up. Find something you enjoy doing so it feels less like exercise, swimming or hiking for example.

Finally, it may be worth seeking help from a professional if you feel the cause of your lack of confidence is something deep down. This may have been caused by hurtful comments or a toxic relationship. Talking therapies can really help you get to the bottom of what is making you feel this way.
